A downloadable game

I didn't have a lot of time to make something complete, but I worked extensively on the Battle System to give folks some Ideas on how to go about their game! This is a Action Battle System that is turned on and off by holding the [Space] Key. 

   There are 4 enemies that respawn, and respawn faster as you take them down in a short tutorial of the system. The idea is to use space, and time your shots in the right environment without getting overrun!


To enter BATTLE MODE - Hold [Space] bar till the meter fills up

Standing Still, hold [Shift] to disengage BATTLE MODE.

To aim at enemies - Hold [Space] bar till the meter fills up again and select your method of attack. Ready Aim will proceed to use whatever weapon you are currently holding. 

While command menu is active - Press [E] to cycle between the 4 available weapons.

Pistol : 15-18 DMG, Short range, 1 EP cost. Your hit and run gun for efficient fights.

Auto : 30-55 DMG, Mid range, 4 EP cost. High damage gun that can deal 3-5 hits.

MK Rifle : 40-50 DMG, Long Range, 5 EP cost. High powered rifle that can reach far.

Force: 20-25 DMG, Short Range, 4 EP cost. Pushes Objects and Enemies away.


[Q] - Check your map, and scan the area how you see fit.

[Esc] - A Menu in progress but with 20 working Item slots. (Needs a lot more work)

[R] - Reload function, restores some of your EP after a short cooldown, remember to use often to keep in the action.

MOMENTUM ABILITIES

They operate like a "Limit Break" function. Some of the abilities are "Slow Time" and "Blade Storm" . "Slow Time" allows you to stop enemies for easy uninterruptable shots or an escape route. "Blade Storm" allows you to approach enemies and attack them with uninterruptable melee by pressing [Space].  be sure to give yourself enough space to get away after a couple good whacks.

STAMINA SYSTEM

I may tweak this later, but this allows for a balance in the combat system to make the player consider the economy of movement. Using the space, environment, and camera angles, the player must find clear areas to attack, and stay out of cramped areas like hallways and micro-rooms.

OVERHEAT SYSTEM

All weapons put off OH or Overheat. The capacity of your max overheat is 100. If you fire to many weapons too quickly, you can be disabled from attacking for a short while.

Pistols per shot  25 OH

AUTO per shot  40-70 OH

MK Rifle per shot  60-80 OH

Force per shot     50-60 OH

Install instructions

Just install into a folder and run the PER Battle System 2.0.exe !
